IMO 2020 and It’s Options For Compliant

ag

In October 2016, International Maritime Organization (IMO) had decided the new sulfur limit for marine fuel will start to take place on 1st Jan 2020 without any further delay and IMO is firmly committed to enforcement of these new regulation. The new sulfur global cap in 2020 will required all ships operating outside Emission Control Areas (ECA) to adopt marine fuel on board with maximum sulfur content of 0.5%. The recent announcement of IMO on restricting the carriage of non-compliant fuel oil aboard ships without scrubbers, starting 1st March 2020, have signalled a strong determination of IMO to ensure successful implementation of the new sulfur cap in 2020.
