IT Field Specialist (Clinical Diagnostics) – Kelantan

We are seeking an IT Field Specialist, to be based in Kelantan. This is for our Clinical Diagnostics team. In this role, you will be responsible to provide frontline technical support and solutions for our clinical diagnostics equipment and digital platforms. This role combines hands-on troubleshooting, system integration and proactive IT support to ensure seamless operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between clinical users and IT infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of system availability, data integrity and user satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Deploy, configure and maintain IT systems supporting clinical diagnostics equipment.
• Perform routine checks, updates, and calibrations for connected hardware and software.
• Provide on-site and remote support to resolve hardware, software and networking issues.
• Act as a first responder for system downtime and ensure quick resolution
• Set up and manage secure connections between diagnostic instruments, hospital networks, and cloud platforms.
• Support compliance with healthcare IT regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, PDPA).
• Implement backup, data recovery, and cybersecurity protocols for diagnostics systems.
• Train clinicians and lab staff on the proper use of the IT-supported diagnostics platforms.
• Prepare user guides and provide refresher sessions to ensure smooth adoption.
• Work closely with application specialists, service engineers and IT teams.
• Provide reports on system uptime, issue trends and support metrics.

To be successful in this role, you would require:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or equivalent
• 2-5 years of IT support.
• Hands on experience with networking, system troubleshooting and user training.
• Possess a car and valid driving license.
• Willing to travel extensively
