BioCal™ Dilutors Calibration Service

BioCal™ Dilutors Calibration Service is accredited by SAC-SINGLAS

Dilutors are syringe operated pumps used to deliver mixtures of liquids of defined volumetric proportions. The transfer of liquids between vials can be pre-programmed according to user defined protocols. This means that the intended volumes of sample and dilution fluid, chosen to provide a combined volume of the required ratio, are user selected prior to the uptake and delivery of the liquids.

Dual-syringe models are typically constructed with valves and fitted with syringes of different volumes. The left syringe is the large volume syringe calibrated for accurate delivery of a large volume of diluent. The right syringe is used to transfer smaller volumes of sample liquid with high accuracy and reproducibility. The key benefit of calibrating your dilutors is determination of accurate dilution ratios with defined reproducibility error.

BioCal™ Dilutors Calibration Service is performed gravimetrically and adheres to ISO 8655 standards. Testing are made on the accuracy and repeatability of:

  • Sample volume uptake (IN)
  • Diluent volume delivery (EX)
  • Total volume (sample and diluent) where independent testing of diluent volume is not possible

As part of our pre-calibration protocols, syringes fitted on your dilutor will be inspected for damage to its piston, barrel, adjoining transfer tubing and Tee-junction joints using high power magnification optical aids. Dirty valves will be cleaned with suitable solvent. BioCal™ calibration service guarantees you with:

  • Highest level of measurement confidence
  • Detailed reports with equipment & environmental traceability
  • Setup for lowest possible measurement uncertainties
