Diesel

PAC analyzers are designed to measure physical properties in diesel fuel and blending streams with minimal operator intervention. The most common diesel analysis include tests for water contamination, ash content, cetane number, cloud point, cold filter plugging point, pour point, lubricity, and particulate contamination. Our diesel analyzers comply with standards: ASTM D975, ASTM D396, ASTM D7467, ASTM D2880, EN 590 and their methods and specifications.

Gases

PAC instruments have defined instrumentation standards for decades on various gaseous products such as natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas.

Gasoline

Gasoline analysis is critical to maintaining fuel quality, safety, regulatory and environmental compliance, while maintaining consistency of performance. Our gasoline analyzers comply with standards: ASTM D4814, EN 228 and their methods and specifications.

Jet Fuel

Standard methods like ASTM D1655, ASTM D3241, ASTM D7566, or DEF STAN 91-91 are required for every batch of jet fuel produced to measure, freeze point, density and oxidation stability of the fuel, among others. PAC offers industry-proven instruments to help you meet all requirements for jet fuel analysis.

Lubricants

Lubrication oil impacts the reliability, fuel economy, emissions, and maintenance costs of a wide range of operating machinery. Oil degradation leads to higher operating costs and provides important early warnings of problems that can lead to premature and potentially catastrophic equipment failures.

Marine Fuel

The International Marine Organization’s sulfur content regulations (IMO 2020) mandate that the fuel used on ships around the globe needs to have less than 0.5% m/m of sulfur. The marine sector will have to reduce sulphur emissions by over 80%. PAC offers a range of solutions for vessel owners, ports and contract labs which are the most affected by the IMO 2020 sulphur regulations.

Oil

Oil analysis can be conducted both off-line (in laboratory settings) and in-line (on equipment). Lab analysis is accurate, but because samples are tested infrequently and inconsistently, it is difficult to identify serious trends prior to expensive or catastrophic failures. Real-time on-machine oil condition monitoring is a better choice for optimizing equipment performance and life-cycle costs.

Renewables

Nations and governments worldwide have increasingly looked to renewable fuels as part of the solution to meet the global challenge of climate change and reduce GHG emissions. All transport sectors, whether aviation, marine, heavy-duty or light vehicles, have invested in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), renewable diesel, biodiesel, ethanol in the immediate term, and even hydrogen in the longer term. At PAC, we have partnered with industry stakeholders to offer a complete portfolio of analyzers specific to your testing needs for renewable fuels.
